Plip is officially described as
a blue-green creme polish sprinkled with black glitter. Unusual yet understated. Opaque in 2-3 coats, we recommend a topcoat to smooth everything out and bring out the contrast between the creme base and black glitter.
Because it’s a creme polish, sometimes the flat black glitter is covered up by the turquoise blue creme, causing a very cool speckled effect. The formula was thin but easy to work with. I actually really like the formula and it’s a nice change after some of the thicker formulas I’ve dealt with recently.
I did have to email Super Black Lacquers to inquire about their cruelty free status before I made a purchase. Natalie Dee was quick to respond to my email, which I appreciated. I did ask if she had considered becoming Leaping Bunny Certified, but received no response to that email.
Overall, I’m happy with my Super Black Plip Nail Polish and you’ll see me feature Super Black again on my blog. I’ve got 4 more shades that I will be reviewing.
- Unique nail polish color
- Good value for the price and amount of product
