This is the look that I wore for Mother’s Day on Sunday. I used Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics, NARS, Makeup Geek and Physicians Formula.
I kept it pretty simple. To recreate this look, start by applying Jesse’s Girl Eyeshadow primer. Then dust Makeup Geek New Years Eve Loose Eyeshadow onto the lid. Apply NARS Voyage into the crease. Highlight with New Years Eve on the browbone. Add Jesse’s Girl Liquid eyeliner. Finish the look with Physicians Formula mascara.
I used a lip brush to apply NARS Puerto Vallarta onto the lips. While I like the color on my cheeks, and I think the color is ok on my lips, it was hard to get it to look right. The texture didn’t seem to work very well for me on the lips.

I do think Puerto Vallarta looks lovely on my complexion. It adds a nice warmth to my cheeks and lips. The combination of the two Physicians Formula mascaras, plus Anastasia Lash Genius, worked wonderfully for my mascara.
I firmly believe in mixing mascaras these days. Start with Anastasia Lash Genius if you have allergies like I do, or if your eyes are prone to watering. Then apply your lengthening mascara. Then apply your volumizing mascara. Repeat until you’re happy with the results. Then top with Lash Genius. You can skip the Lash Genius if you’re not worried about smudging or allergies, but I constantly have issues with it, so Lash Genius just makes it easier for me. I hate it when mascara or eyeliner comes off on my contacts and Lash Genius prevents that.
Mother’s Day was a great day. We took my Mother who is here out for dinner. I called my Mother and Grandmother who are out of state. I wished my friends and loved ones who are Mothers a Happy Mother’s Day.
