Hi there! I’ve got the Silk Naturals Valentine’s Day 2013 Collection review and swatches for you today. There are some really lovely products here!
First up, I’m going to talk about the caffeinated lip balms. The caffeinated matte lip balms are $3.99 each.
The website says
Did you know that applying caffeine to your skin is the fastest way to get it into your blood stream? Each tube of Recharge contains approximately 60 mg of caffeine. It’s not going to keep you awake for hours on end, but it will get you going until the coffee has brewed, or a nice pick-me-up. Smooth, moisturizing and as matte as a tube of lip balm can be.
Ingredients: Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, Beeswax,Flavor, Mica, Caffeine, Stevia
Sweet juicy peaches, and sugared strawberries combine to make a scrumptious lip balm.
Red Velvet Cake
There are days when ONLY chocolate cake will do, and this is the perfect no-calorie panacea to a rough day. Red Velvet cake- rich and chocolaty with hints of vanilla, and a light cream cheese frosting. Mmmm…
Both flavors are yummy! They make my lips tingle in a good way, and they’re very moisturizing. I’m a fan!
Each eyeshadow is $4 each.
A nude pink with just the barest hint of shimmer if you look really closely, but it’s essentially matte.
Midtone pinked nude matte.
Clone of Urban Decay’s Naked 2. A creamly light matte taupe tone, great as a lid or light crease color. (Naked Basics Palette Clone)
Creamy brown taupe.
A taupe tone with just the faintest hint of pearl- just to take the edge off the matte. Great as a crease color, and works well with all of our neutrals. It’s the perfect in-between shade.
Deeper than midtone mousy taupe.
A taupe with just a hint of red and a little bit of shimmer.
Deep brown taupe with red undertones.
A matte very neutral charcoal brown.
Deep neutral brown.
Clone of Urban Decay’s Walk of Shame. It’s a true nude, and pretty much blends with lighter skin tones. (Naked Basics Palette Clone)
Light tan matte.
Clone of Urban Decay’s Venus. It’s a creamy subdued pearl with great coverage, and a bit of refinement from some matte tones. (Naked Basics Palette Clone)
Light creamy beige.
A deep matte charcoal color with hints of aqua, and neutralized with just a hint of brown
Deep charcoal with teal undertones.
Each Amplified Lip Glaze is $4.50. Each Liquid Gloss is $8.99
A reddish peach tone with a hint of shimmer.
Milky coral red. I thought I’d like this one better.
A base of pink gloss with lots of golden, and a few multi-color sparkles. On your lips it’s pretty much a light neutral. Great for highlighting a pout, or as a classy nude. It has a wonderful vanilla almost cupcake flavor.
Gorgeous light pink with golden shimmer.
A sheerish milky coral that’s perfect for adding a sweet but not too bright pop of color. We’re calling this coral, but it’s fairly neutral, and should look great on most folks. It has a wonderful vanilla almost cupcake flavor.
Love this color and the scent! Bright, not quite neon, coral.
If you’re a fan of creamy, easy to work with mattes, nudes and browns, you will love this eyeshadow collection. I think the lip colors really help with romantic vibe. It definitely purrs softly romantic to me.
