Let me tell you about my experience with the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. First, it’s the best moisturizing cleanser that I’ve ever tried. After washing my face with it, it feels clean, soft and moisturized, not dry or tight. Since I’ve been dealing with my skin feeling dry from Rosacea and my Rosacea meds, I am constantly fighting with dryness. Being able to use a cleanser that doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped, I’m guessing because it doesn’t remove the natural oils from my face, is definitely something I like. It hasn’t irritated my skin at all. I’ve not broken out at all.
I can easily see why this cleanser is a holy grail for people. Since the first night I tried it, I haven’t reached for any other cleanser. The weather has changed here in Florida to be cooler and dryer. This means that my sensitive combo skin is dryer than normal in some places. Using a cleanser that moisturizes the way Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser does has really made a difference for me. Right now it’s the perfect cleanser for my skin and I wish that I had tried it sooner! Additionally, my dermatologist recommended this cleanser to me, so when I told her that I’d tried it and loved it, she was happy.
Next is the Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15. This facial moisturizer SPF 15 does a good job of moisturizing my skin. I use it on my face, eyes, neck, décolleté and hands. It doesn’t irritate my skin or break me out. It doesn’t irritate my eyes. It wears well and my makeup doesn’t ball up funny underneath it. However, the SPF of 15 is not sufficient for my skincare needs. Because of my Rosacea, my dermatologist wants me using a minimum of SPF 30. I prefer SPF 40 to 50. So while this is a good moisturizer with SPF 15, it doesn’t suit my needs.
I’ll definitely be purchasing the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser again once mine runs out. It’s been wonderful with my sensitive skin. While I will not be purchasing the Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 again because it doesn’t meet my SPF needs, I do recommend it if you don’t have a high SPF requirement.
