Fall 2012 Beauty Trends are turning out to be really gorgeous. I see a lot of deep teals and deep purples, in addition to the classic berries and gold accents.
The Soft Cat Eye
Smoky Teal Cat Eye Look
The soft cat eye shape in the crease can be the emphasis and you can forgo liner, just relying on mascara. Or you can do what I did above and use a teal or purple liner. You can also do this with grey or brown. For a softer effect use shadow and smudge instead of a pencil liner.
Purple Smoky Eye
I haven’t done a purple smoky eye recently, but I plan on doing one soon with Too Faced Poison Orchid!
UD Smoked Palette Swatches & Review
Speaking of smoky, of course the Urban Decay Smoked Palette will be perfect for Fall!
Midnight Gravity Tutorial
I do have a purple smoky eye with Midnight Cowgirl, Gravity and Rockstar that is pretty fall appropriate.
Vibrant Lush Lips
Intense lips are always in for fall, but I think shades of red – warm brick reds, berry toned reds and true reds. You can apply them with a lip brush, then blot, for more of a stained effect. I think they’ll also look great layered with some gold gloss.
This is MAC Fresh Moroccan (all of my MAC was purchased when they were still cruelty-free) a warm red with gold pearl in it. You can achieve the same effect with another warm red lipstick and an iridescent gold gloss. You could also try Evil Shades Jenaveve. Silk Naturals also makes a warm red plum with golden highlights, Dame.
This is MAC New York Apple, a red with slight pink pearl. You can apply it very lightly for a cherry stained lip lip.
Oh! Tarte lipsurgence in Fiery would be great, too!
Deep Purple and Teal Nails
I actually think the jelly finish nails look awesome!

Zoya Frida, Cynthia, Paloma, and Katherine are good choices from Zoya for fall nail shades.

I also love Cult Nails Awakening (deep teal creme), Vicious (intense purple), Enigmatic (smoky purple), Iconic (berry with gold flakes), and Annalicious (red with orange/gold flakes).
You know I always feel like flawless skin is important for any look!
You can see my review of Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation.
I love the UD Naked skin foundation. However, the Optical Blurring brush is amazing. While I used to prefer to apply my foundation with my finger tips, then sometimes blend a bit with a brush, I’ve gotten addicted to coating the bristles of the UD Optical Blurring brush in a foundation, then dabbing on my t-zone, then blending / buffing in circles outwards from the t-zone to the rest of my face. I’ve used it with multiple foundations and I feel like it gives me flawless looking skin.
No matter how you achieve it, I think flawless skin is definitely in!
What do you think of my picks for Fall 2012 Beauty Trends? Are there any other shades that you think will be popular?
Some products purchased by me. Some products sent for consideration. All opinions are my own.
