One of the coolest new lines that I got to see on Sunday was the Orly Flash Glam FX Nail polishes! These are meant for layering. Orly suggests black, but you could really do it with any color.

Row 1 = Monster Mash – It’s Electric – Sunglasses at Night
Row 2 = Sashay My Way – Be Brave – Can’t Be Tamed

All swatches on the nail wheel are 3 swatches of glitter.

I GASPED out loud when I saw Orly Sunglasses at Night in the bottle and had to have it! It has a clear base with black holographic bar glitter and teeny tiny little circles. It looks AMAZING in the bottle.

Orly It’s Electric has a clear base with electric blue bar holographic glitter and round glitter pieces. It really reminds me of Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Electric. It’s a fantastic color for summer.

Orly Monster Mash has a sheer green base with hexagon green glitter particles, tiny gold glitter particles, tiny gold bar glitter, and holographic micro glitter pieces. It’s enchanting in the bottle.

Orly Can’t Be Tamed has a clear base with black and purple glitter. I think this would be awesome on top of a white base.

Orly Be Brave has a slightly tinted pink sheer see through base with pink holographic bar glitter. It’s one of the most holographic of the bunch.

Orly Sashay My Way was one that I picked up and said ‘mine!’ It’s gorgeous gold holographic hexagon pieces and holographic bars. Love!

I played around with the colors, too. I used a base of Cult Nails Nevermore, my perfect one coat black.

This is Can’t Be Tamed with a coat of Orly Prisma Gloss in Silver on top on my thumb.

L to R – It’s Electric – Monster Mash – Sashay My Way – Sunglasses at Night.
They each have a coat of Orly Prisma Gloss in Silver on top.

They each have a coat of Orly Prisma Gloss in Silver on top.

I need to figure out the best color to layer underneath Sunglasses at Night, because it shines in the bottle but I can’t get that to translate to the nail. As I mentioned above, I think  Can’t be Tamed would be awesome on top of a white creme, but maybe a grey or orange, too. It’s Electric, Monster Mash and Sashay My Way all look great on top of black, and they look awesome on top of teal-blue, too. Be Brave might be fun on top of a red or purple, but it looks great on black as well.

Additionally, maybe because I did a layer of Prisma gloss, then 2 layers of top coat on the nails, when I went to remove them using my nail polish remover jar with the bristles inside it, they weren’t too bad to remove. Most of the time I hate removing glitters.

To me, the Flash Glam FX collection is the most exciting collection that Orly has released in a long time! There are a total of 22 polishes and they retail for $10 each.

What do you think of the Orly Flash Glam FX collection? Do you like any of these lacquers?
