As promised, I swatched Pistol, Mildew and Shattered for you. I also checked my spreadsheet and dug through my collection to find my Show Pony Palette, and swatched the Show Pony Palette again, which contains the old version of Mildew. All of these swatches are on bare skin.
As a reminder, Urban Decay is a cruelty-free company. Many of their colors are vegan. The new eyeshadows are $18 each and they’re currently available at UrbanDecay.com.
New Shade Descriptions:
Pistol – light greyish brown
Mildew – mossy green with gold shift
Shattered – turquoise with gold shift
Show Pony (Old Formula)
Snatch – peachy pink with gold glitter
Smog – deep bronze
Mildew – deep green
Painkiller – turquoise
Flash – bright iridescent purple
Toasted – rich copper
To me, Old Mildew seems to be a slightly deeper color than New Mildew. The gold color shift is slightly more apparent.
Using new Mildew as the darker green in this look.
UD 24/7 Pencil Shadow n Clash as base, Haight on the center of lid and crease, Walk of Shame on browbone and Cobra along lower lash line. (all new formula)
Walk of Shame and Mushroom used together. (all new formula)
Urban Decay Junkshow on the lid. (new formula)
I really like the new formula of Urban Decay’s shadows. I definitely recommend them!
See my other swatches of the new eyeshadow formula here in my Build Your Own Palette Review..
See the first palette to debut the new formula, the 15 Year Anniversary Eye Shadow Palette.
The shades that I’m most interested in trying in the new formula that I still haven’t checked out are:
SWF – pale cotton candy pink with silver micro-glitter
S&M – steel grey with subtle taupe shift
Scratch – rose gold
Twice Baked – rich satin brown with gold micro-glitter
Woodstock – saturated deep pink
Have you tried the new Urban Decay eyeshadow formula? Do you love it as much as I do? What are your favorite Urban Decay shades? I’d love to hear from you!
