Matoi Sushi and Nordstrom Rack with Tampa Beauty Bloggers

Saturday afternoon I met up with a few of the lovely beauty bloggers here in the Tampa Bay Area. Judi of Judixo, Genia of GeniaBeMe and Cristina of Let Them Have Polish met up with Ray and I at Matoi Sushi in Tampa. The sushi was pretty good! They have both Korean food and Sushi on their menu. I ordered sushi. Their dynomite roll was awesome and I highly recommend it. As I’d been at a very long doctor’s appointment Saturday morning, I had very little time to do makeup before the lunch. I did a lightning quick look. […]

John Masters Organics Firming Eye Gel Review

Back in June I had the opportunity to try the John Masters Firming Eye Gel. I’ve been interested in finding a nice firming eye gel that doesn’t cause any allergic reactions, and this seemed like a good one to give a whirl. John Masters Organics is a beauty line that grew out of the creator’s desire to treat the earth with respect. The philosophy is ‘We only get one body, and we only get one planet. why not treat them both with the utmost care?’ I have to admit, I find the company’s philosophy appealing. The company requires all of their products to adhere to the following guidelines: 1. No sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, DEAs, MEAs, or TEAs 2. No GMOs (Genetically Modified Organism) 3. No petro-chemicals 4. No animal testing 5. No artificial colors, fragrances or fillers 6. Ingredients must be as organic as possible 7. All plant extracts and essential oils must be certified organic whenever possible 8. All essential oils used must be steam-distilled and not extracted with propylene glycol – which kills the effect of the oils 9. All plant oils must be cold pressed, not heat distilled – which kills the therapeutic properties of plant oils 10. All ingredients must be proven to be beneficial to the hair or skin 11. All ingredients must be harvested in an environmentally-friendly manner (wild-crafted) 12. All ingredients must be bio-degradable as possible […]
