Today’s beauty blog advent calendar features flakes and opalescents. From left to right I have Ozotic 507 (not a flakey, but a multi-chrome) – Orly Twilight – Orly Shining Star – Finger Paints Flecked – Finger Paints Motley – Cult Nails Unicorn Puke (also known as Clairvoyant, and I suspect it is similar to Finger Paints Twisted) – Sephora OPI Blasted Opalescent Gold – Sephora OPI Blasted Opalescent. All of these colors are swatched in one coat, on top of one coat of Orly Liquid Vinyl.

To me, Opalescent Gold looks more like a pink-tinged copper that sometimes looks a bit aged. Opalescent is an awesome magenta/fuchsia pink. 507 is supposed to be similar to Chanel Peridot, only with a stronger multi-chrome effect. To me 507 has gold, green and deep blue around the edges. I need to try it on Illamasqua Phallic. Twilight is way prettier than I expected when swatch. It reminds me of a starry night with the moon hidden by the clouds. Shining Star has pretty flecks of gold and copper. Flecked is green and blue with hints of teal. Motley is a much stronger blue and teal shade. Unicorn Puke, as you know, is made of win with all of its gorgeous flecks of red and gold and green.
