Today was a purple day. I wanted to try out Too Faced’s new Perfect Black Orchid liner with the TF Poison Orchid eye shadow. I decided that MAC Copperplate would make a perfect crease/outer lid color since the base of Poison Orchid is smoky. To do this look, I applied Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Then I applied MAC Vanilla on the browbone, blending downward. I applied Copperplate to the crease, outer v and outer 1/4 of the lid. I then used a fluffy blender brush to blend the crease and browbone line and to drift the color from the outer lid inwards. Then I applied Poison Orchid to the rest of the lid, and because of the smoky base, to me there’s a seamless transition of color from the matte of Copperplate to the smoky sparkles of Poison Orchid. I lined my upper lash line and lower water line with Perfect Black Orchid to complete the look. I forgot an inner corner highlight, but otherwise, I like this look.
I’m really pleased that Perfect Black Orchid has not budged or smudged on me all day. Too Faced claims it is waterproof, and so far it really seems that way. Additionally, I like the Benefit They’re Real Mascara that I’m test driving as well.
