Beachy Keen

I played around with MAC Indianwood again today, though this time I paired it up with teal. I used Indianwood on the lid and MAC Siahi on the outer v and crease. I put Tokidoki Bruttino on top of Siahi with a fluffy brush to soften the look of the cream shadow’s lines. I added just a touch of Tokidoki Nancy Rocks to the outer lower crease. Then I decided to add All That Glitters to the inner 1/2 of the lid. Finally I added MAC Vapour (I would REALLY love an indie version of this shadow, it’s a very pale pinky peach with a velvet finish, not shimmery, but has a very subtle sheen of violet) to the browbone with a highlighter brush and a small detail brush to the inner corners of the eye. I didn’t use liner on the upper lash line, but instead my favorite combination of mascara. Then I used a touch of 24/7 liner in Midnight cowboy on the inner 1/4 lower waterline, 24/7 in Baked on the inner lash line and MUFE Matte black liner on the outer lash line. Gold and teal/turquoise are such great summer colors. I tried to do something different for my cheeks & lips, and used bronzer as blush and the coppery lip color I own with some gold gloss. […]

Bronzed

Today I participated in the Relay for Life Cancer walk with friends. I wanted to wear makeup that wouldn’t budge, and that was fairly simplistic. I applied TFSI, then took a concealer brush and applied MAC paint pot in Indianwood to the lid and crease, blending out the upper edge of color. I took the Estee Lauder shadowstick in Bronze and applied it to the outer v and lower crease. I then blended the Bronze into Indianwood. I took a fluffy highlighter brush and applied MAC Vapour to the browbone and then a smudge brush to apply it at the inner corner of my eyes. I used UD’s 24/7 pencil in Bourbon along the outer lower lash line. I applied Flirt! It Curls mascara and then Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume Waterproof Mascara. I finished up by defining my brows with Revlon’s 104 Dark Blonde brow pencil and took my stiff angled eyeshadow brush to blend it out. Too be honest, I absolutely love this look. I loved how the colors blended together and how my lid turned out. Indianwood is a nice color, especially with Bronze. […]

Thursday’s Sugarpill Look

Thursday I mixed together Sugarpill (affiliate link) Afterparty & Sugarpill Poison Plum to create the perfect crease shade for my look. I also ended up mixing together Tokidoki Nancy Rocks & Tokidoki Bruttino to blend out the edges of the Sugarpill. To start, I applied TFSI. Then I took a big fluffy brush and applied Sugarpill Tako from my eyebrows all the way to my lid. I then took a fluffy crease brush and applied Afterparty to the outer corner of my lid and the crease. I followed up by applying Poison Plum exactly where I placed Afterparty. I used Nancy Rocks on the upper edge of the crease with a small smudge brush and then put Bruttino on top of Nancy Rocks. I used a lid brush to apply the eyelid shade of the Wet n’ Wild I Dream of Greenie Trio to the rest of the lid. I used a highlighter brush to apply Vapour to the browbone and then a small smudge brush to apply it to the inner corners of the eye. I used a bent eyeliner brush to apply Blacktrack to the upper lash line. I then applied MUFE’s Aqua pencil in matte black to the lower lash line and UD’s 24/7 pencil in Midnight Cowboy to the lower water line. I next used Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume mascara & then applied Flirt! It Curls on top of that. Finally, I filled in my brows with Revlon 104 Dark Blonde brow pencil & then used a stiff angled eye shadow brush to soften the pencil lines a bit. […]

Vibrant Pink

I wanted a cheery pink look today, since pink makes me happy. I used UD’s Woodstock as the main shade on the lid on top of my TFSI base. I used Inglot 74 on the outer corner of the lid and then in the crease with an angled contour brush. I used a tiny smudge brush to apply Inglot 29 to the upper crease and blend out that edge. With a fluffy highlighter brush I applied MAC Vapour to the browbone. I then applied Blacktrack with a bent eyeliner brush. I used another smudge brush to apply Vapour to the inner corners of the eye. I used just a touch of 24/7 liner in Midnight Cowboy to the lower lash line. Finally I did my mascaras, layering them. By the way, I think I’m getting better with my new camera, at least on the macros. I’ll have to fiddle to get the portraits to turn out better. […]
