Vintage Winter Bliss Seasonal Body Butter – Sample
On first sniff, this has a peppermint scent, but not sure what the other notes are.

These were all sent to me for consideration by PR.

Blueberry Extra Moisturizing Vegan Lip Balm – $2.50
This smells and feels amazing.

Deep Black Sample
Deep Black is my current facial soap of choice. I havent used anything else for months now and my face is loving it! Its absolutely LOADED with ingredients long used for toning and clarifying the skin: Tea Tree oil, Peppermint Essential Oil, Grapefruit Essential Oil, Lemongrass Essential Oil, Rosemary Essential Oil, Vitamin E, Glycerin, French Green Clay, and Activated Charcoal. In addition, the soap is made after I HAND INFUSE the base (and then filter it) with heaps and heaps of healing Calendula petals, as can be seen in my Baby Face soap listing.

Solid Scent Samples
Blak Chocolat – Raw cocoa mixed with chocolate liqueur make this a one-two punch guaranteed to set off your chocolate cravings… and ease them at the same time.

Pumpkin Bread – One of my favorite things about fall is all the pumpkin-based baked goods I get to make. This smells like (almost) all of them, rolled up into one deliciously food-y fragrance! You’ll smell Pumpkin, of course, along with Carrot, Clove, Nut, Rum, Bread, Butter and Malt notes; it’s enough to make your mouth water!

Fevrier – Named for the second month of the year, typically the coldest, this fragrance was inspired by the barren yet beautiful winter landscapes of New England. Red fruits and black spice make up this blend; you’ll smell currants, cranberries, pomegranates, and black pepper- along with the tingling nip of winter’s winds. It’s foody but not in a way that makes you smell like food- you can call this scent “gourmand”.

I purchased the bathing creme and lip balm, the samples were free.

My order of samples from Geek Chic arrived. They actually arrived in a plain white letter envelope. There was an order receipt with my samples printed out and a ‘Thank you!’ written on the receipt. Each sample was $1 each. I will be swatching these soon :) Ana will have the swatches out first though, as she’s the one who told me about the company!

10 MAN RAID (World of Warcraft) COLLECTION
Bubble Hearth

The Geek: They can tank, damage, and heal. Also, they have a full, instant heal… and temporary invincibility. Oh yeah, and they wear plate armor. If Paladins aren’t hax we don’t know what is.

The Chic: Bubble Hearth is a dainty powder pink that packs a punch. With a light application it is a sheer, shimmery, pearly pink. When applied more heavily it’s a soft yet vibrant pink.

Glass Cannon
The Geek: Ahh Mages; the infinite power of the elements at their fingertips, the ability to turn humans into sheep, and open dimensional rifts bending time and space itself.

And yet, a couple swift blows to the head from a loose enemy turns them into pudding. Much love, mages.

The Chic: Glass Cannon is a soft Tiffany blue with gorgeous silver shimmer. Glass Cannon plays well with Shammy and Mana Battery to make a beautiful sky eye. Used lightly it goes on sheer, and can be built up to make an intense sky blue.

Fear Bomb
The Geek: If you are running around out of control taking incredible amounts of damage for what seems like forever, you have probably been targeted by a Warlock. Which can be really fun… if you are that Warlock.

The Chic: Fear Bomb is a rich deep jewel toned purple stuffed with oodles of purple and silver glitter. Has the perfect level of shimmer and pearl to make a sexy smoky eye. Can be used wet as an eyeliner as well!

Ebon Blade
The Geek: Newcomers, relatively, to the scene: most of the Death Knights you will ever meet are pretty bad at just about everything. It’s not their fault… they usually haven’t had enough practice. If you find an exceptional Death Knight, or you play one, consider yourself lucky and your enemies pulverized.

The Chic: Ebon Blade is a wicked as it’s name. Ebon Blade is a crazy intense red/gold duochrome. The effect looks like the two colors are floating on top of each other. Packing just enough gold shimmer to stand out but not over power the red.

The Geek: If you like dropping totems and getting yelled at to pop Heroism or Bloodlust as the raid goes into phase three, you’re in good company.

The Chic: Shammy is an intense cobalt blue/gold duochrome with a hefty dose of gold sparkle. This bold color makes a statement by itself and plays well with softer blues as well as golds.

Blood Bond

The Geek: Whether you are attacked and bitten or bitten sensually in a frenzy of unparalleled lust, if you exchange blood you will create a bond. They will know where you are at all times, and can sense what you are feeling. Which could be an amazing thing if you are fond of the Vampire you share a bond with, bad if not.

The Chic: Blood Bond is a deep blood red pigment. Blood Bond contains real metal alloys for an intense color pay-off and incredible metallic sheen. Looks amazing with Viking King and Eyes of the Werewolf.

Viking King
The Geek: Born the son of a Viking King, he inherited his father’s crown after his father was brutally murdered by an ancient Vampire. Now a vampire himself, he spends his time running his club, plotting against the Southern Gentleman vampire to steal his girlfriend, and generally being sexy.

The Chic: Viking King is an intense antique gold pigment with silver shimmer. Viking King contains real metal alloys for an intense color pay-off and incredible metallic sheen.

Eyes of the Werewolf
The Geek: Hot to the touch and even hotter to the eyes, shifters can pull you in with their animal magnetism! When the full moon comes they shed their civilized skin and run free in the night. Ferocity, intelligence, lust, and savagery all shine from the moon light in their copper eyes.

The Chic: Eyes of the Werewolf is a soft and shiny copper pigment with a touch of gold glimmer to it. Mixes well with other earth tones and can be used on the apple of the cheek for a bronze glow.

SO SAY WE ALL (Battlestar Gallactica) COLLECTION
You Have a Destiny

The Geek: Inspired by our favorite bad-ass Viper pilot with an attitude. She could be your best friend or your worst enemy, often both at the same time. She is our hero. She has a destiny.

The Chic: You Have a Destiny is a very pale gold with a touch of shimmer. It is perfect for highlighting the brow bone and for blending. Can be used on top of blush on the apple of the cheek for a soft glow.

Katamari King

The Geek: Katamari King is inspired by the oh-so-sexy tights of the King from Katamari Damacy.

The Chic: Katamari King is a pastel purple with tons of sparkle in the light. Great on it’s own or as a companion to a nice dark purple or black!

Oath Keeper
The Geek: As a general rule, all our favorite RPG protagonists have spiky hair, are too serious for their own good, and are accompanied by comedic relief. Well, he’s got two out of the three. Oath Keeper reminds us of island beaches and a simpler time… before the heartless.

The Chic: Oath Keeper is a vibrant cerulean blue with lots blue shimmer and hilites. Blends very well with light blues, whites, and silvers.

The Geek: We all know what it means: Walking around in mismatched and ugly gear, endless questing, lots of dying, carrying around oodles of potions and food, and paying your dues. We’ve all been there, so the next time you are in game, pay it forward and help a newb!

The Chic: Newb is an almost matte pearl nude color. Newb is incredibly versatile and is a must have color. It has good coverage, you can swipe it on sheer or pack it on to build up opacity.

Game Over

The Geek: Evil in disguise of a “helpful” mushroom, Game Over is inspired by the most dreaded words in any game. Thank God for save points and memory cards!

The Chic: Game Over is an amethyst toned purple with violet and blue hi-lights and is packed with silver and blue glitter!

Tomboy Princess
The Geek: Our homage to the “other” princess from the Mushroom Kingdom. One part flower child, one part tomboy, we love her spunky attitude!

The Chic: Tomboy Princess is a sunny buttercup yellow, just bursting with rainbow glitter and has subtle golden undertones. Can be used wet as and eyeliner or dry for all over coverage.

Are There Any Girls There?

The Geek: The plight of the shy guy geek. He never gets to meet any girls IRL. Which means that in-game he’s on the prowl. Relegated to holding down a stool in the local tavern he poses the oft heard question to the DM, “Are there any girls there?” The DM retorts, “Yes” Valiantly staying in character as the uber drunk warrior, the shy guy geek replies, “OK! But if there are any girls there I WANT TO DOOO THEM!” That would make any girl swoon.

The Chic: Are there any girls there? is a vibrant, semi-opaque pink with oodles of sparkle

– Nerdgasm is Geek Chic’s dupe of “Multiple Orgasm” by NARS.
Nerdgasm gives you flushed look of being “frisky” and has a subtle gold shimmer.
All of our blushes contain Rice Powder for oil control and flawless finish and Zinc Oxide for SPF protection that lasts all day!

– Ivory is our color for those with a pale yet still tan tint to their skin.

Green ‘Stache – Green ‘Stache is a bright limey green with gold undertones and tons of green and silver sparkle.

I purchased everything except the free sample of Green ‘Stache.

Finally, my order from Haus of Gloi arrived. I purchased their Yuletide Sampler for $10.

Eggnoggin – The Haus ‘nog! Cream, sugar and a shot of dark rum topped with fresh grated nutmeg.

Parkin – Sticky black treacle, heaps of brown sugar, soft oat flour, a peculiar blend of white spices tossed with street roasted chestnuts and coated with the lightest of icings.

Hearth – The warm glowing center of any home. Autumns last apple pickings, warm bread, orange rind, various fire roasted nuts, cracked black pepper all nailed down by an oozing sticky benzoin.

Snow Wolf – Bristling and prowling, lonesome and haunting. Three howling firs, white frankincense, vanilla bean husk, tainted by droplets of blood cedar.

Apothecary – Old books, bubbling concoctions, herbs and creaking floor boards! A pure essential oil blend of: Lemongrass, rosemary, blood cedar, sweet basil, lavender and the tiniest drop of vetiver.

I purchased the Yuletide sampler and Apothecary was a free sample.
