Recently I was sent Caress Evenly Gorgeous body wash to review. I’ve had a lot of luck with quality drugstore body washes in the past year, and this one is no exception. Next I plan on trying the Blackberry Cream Whipped Souffle.
It has brown sugar and shea butter in it (karite butter), which lets it gently exfoliate and moisturize the skin. Personally I hate that it says karite butter on the label instead of shea butter. I had to look up what karite butter is, because I know it from the name shea butter. I like the scent a lot, but I tend to like vanilla and brown sugar and caramel notes.
I did feel like this body wash did exfoliate me very lightly, as well as moisturizing lightly. It’s not as moisturizing as some of the shower creams I’ve tried, but I don’t feel that I need to put on a body butter after using it. However, I do feel like if you want a really good exfoliation, you should stick to a sugar scrub and not count on this product daily, though it will help with things like rough elbows.
Overall, I think if you like shea butter in your products, as well as vanilla/brown sugar/caramel scents, you’ll like this body wash.
