10 Best New Cruelty Free Mascaras

10 Best New Cruelty Free Mascaras

Happy Top Ten Tuesdays! Today I’m sharing my picks for the 10 best new cruelty free mascaras. I’m always getting asked for mascara recommendations, so I’m happy to have new ones to share with you.

1. NARS Audacious Mascara – $26
This is a brand new mascara from NARS and it really impressed me. It has a bit of a weird brush that’s super spiky, but it manages to add good volume and some length to my lashes. The formula is what is really amazing. It wore for over 8 hours on me without flaking off.

2. Catrice Better Than False Lashes Ultra Black Mascara – $7.99
This is my new favorite mascara. It’s got an amazing brush! It somehow manages to catch all of my lashes and gives me good volume and length. I am so happy I took a chance on it and bought it. The wand is the best I’ve ever tried for getting the inner corners of my lashes and they’re far less likely to clump with this formula. If you only take a chance with one mascara, I recommend this one!

3. Perfekt Beauty Liquid Lash Curler – $28.50
I just bought this mascara and haven’t yet had a chance to wear it but I think it’s promising. I already love the original Perfekt Beauty Lash Perfection Gel Mascara. It’s supposed to be infused with Keratrix for all day curl.

4. Pur Minerals Big Look Mascara – $20
I have the waterproof version of this and I plan on trying the regular because I’m really impressed with the waterproof version.

5. BECCA Ultimate Full Lash Perfecting Mascara – $25
Color me curious about this one! It’s supposed to lengthen and volumize with its dual bristles for dramatic volume.

6. Eyeko Rock Out and Lash Out Mascara – $26
This is a new one on my to-try list since it’s supposed to be made of waxes and cellulose powder to build up lashes but never flake.

7. Ciaté London Triple Shot Mascara – $22
This is another one with a unique brush in a starfish shape that is supposed to help the mascara more easily coat the roots of the lashes to create thick, curled glossy lashes that don’t flake.

8. Kat Von D Immortal Lash 24 Hour Mascara – $20
While I would never wear mascara for 24 hours, this one is supposed to be great for extended wear. The wand is an interesting spiral shape to help coat the lashes.

9. tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara – $21
This is one of my all time favorite mascaras because it does somehow give me dramatic lashes with lots and lots of volume and length.

10. Urban Decay Perversion Mascara – $22
I saved the best for lash, ahem, I mean last. I still can’t get over my amazing results with this mascara, as it’s in my top 3 all time favorites. It’s not too wet or too dry and works well to coat lashes for amazing length.

What are your top 10 new(ish) mascara picks? Any cruelty free ones I need to try? Let me know below!

  1. Hey 🙂 Have you tried better than sex new waterproof mascara? If so, what do you think of it? Thanks!

    1. Hi! So I have the mascara but I can’t wear it because I’ve got eyelash extensions. I can’t wear waterproof mascara with them. I’m trying to find a friend to give it to so I can get a report on how it wears.

  2. I’m new to the cruelty-free makeup world so this list is coming with me next time I go makeup shopping 🙂 I really love Tarte, so I will probably be hitting them up first!

  3. I definitely need to try that Catrice! I’m using Perversion right now, everything UD is just great. The Tarte mascara though…. I love their products but I just hated that mascara! Maybe I got a bad one, but it was dryish and difficult for me to use.

  4. You HAVE to try Physicians Formula Sexy Booster Cat Eye mascara. It’s the black tube with red lace and shoe charm. Super cheesy packaging, but paired with the holy grail Perversion, my lashes are AMAZING!! They don’t clump at all! I am so in love with this combination. I like the Cat Eye mascara because it tight lines my lashes and thickens them as I apply. One less step in my routine. I do find that if I wipe off the brush slightly (it has tons of product & gets all over my eyelid), I get a better application. I haven’t gotten any flakes or smudges either and it lasts all day. Can’t believe it, but its true!!

  5. They’ve been around for a couple of years, but Eye of Horus mascara, which I started using recently, is brilliant – cruelty free, good for sensitive eyes, good staying power. (Their eye pencils are beautiful and long lasting as well, with some great colours – you’d probably love the Teal Malachite one:) ). EoH is an Australian brand but I think they have international stockists and ship internationally.

  6. Yep, so far Perversion beats everyone 🙂 Only if they got it out in different colours … I love it with and without the primer 🙂 Depends on the effect I’m after :))

  7. Oooh – going to have to try that Catrice mascara. Plus, Catrice is buy 1 get 1 50% off at Ulta now and if you spend $15 on Catrice you get a free mascara. Definitely worth it!
